Unless Tehran comes to an agreement with Washington over its nuclear program, King Donald said today that he will bomb Iran.
In Trump's first remarks since Iran rejected direct negotiations with Washington last week, he told NBC News that U.S. and Iranian officials were talking, but did not elaborate.
"If they don't make a deal, there will be bombing," Trump said in a telephone interview. "It will be bombing the likes of which they have never seen before."So much for the "no new wars" chit chat.

Out of curiosity, is the resolution from 9/11 still in effect? Otherwise, I don't think the Executive can order bombing without Congressional approval. Though, I do know that we've been intermittently bombing the Houthis for the past 3 years or so (including under Biden, obviously).

He tried, but failed to get his war with Iran during his last term. It even caught me by surprise. I was sure the mullahs would go to war over the assassination of Soleimani. Other than a few missile strikes, they didn稚 retaliate.

Huh? Any time a US President wants a war with Iran it'll happen. What democrat Presidents (and one notable Republican) don't understand is that Iran doesn't have the firepower to go head to head with the US.
Reagan sank a huge chunk of their Navy in one day and Trump vaporized the brains of their terror outfit. Iran didn't do jack squat. They're a classic mouse that roars - happy to have their proxies raise hell but when they tug on Superman's cape once too often they meekly take it. Witness their response after the Israelis zeroed out their air defense last year - few drones launched that they knew would get intercepted.
BTW, that last bit looms large now. You think our B-2's would have any kind of problem with Iran's air defense's? Nah. Neither do the mullahs.

The Mullahs nuclear intent and infrastructure must be eliminated completely and soon too. If we can also cause a regime change out of doing what is necessary for the nukes then that would be ideal. The Persian people don't deserve living under the religious oppression they have endured for far too long already.

Yes, all those Presidents and military advisors don't understand this but, **MAGICALLY**, THE DOPEMEISTER does. I've only continually read for decades that we don't want to get involved in a land war in Iran due to the terrain, etc., even though we outstrip them.
We outstrip Iran in every weapon and vehicle category except artillery. Maybe if we go back to BC Iran has a military that can't be beat, but not now. How well did we do in Afghanistan, eh?
