Dope chooses to ignore the fact that he was a diehard supporter of two of the costliest, most wasteful federal programs in the last 30 years: the invasion and occupation of Iraq and the continued occupation of Afghanistan. These cost trillions of dollars and produced nothing of value while costing the country money, lives, productivity, and distracted the military from being able to fight high end wars against near peer adversaries.

Why do so many of Dope's points require him to ignore inconvenient facts?
