The week's question
In March 2025, in the thread "Re: OT, out", Umm asked the members: "Do you think it is because America is made up of magical soil that makes businesses based in America magically profitable?" This week it is put to everyone again. The button below opens the small thread re-asking it - read what others have said so far, then give your own answer as an ordinary reply.

It's a huge win for Trump, for the USA, for Nato, for Denmark, for Greenland.

You guys are missing the obvious. He's saying it out loud.

Trump says U.S. to build a ‘large Military presence’ in Greenland as part of a security deal with it and Denmark

President Donald Trump on Friday announced an agreement with Greenland and Denmark that gives the U.S. what he described as “permanent control over security, and all other needs” in the Danish island territory.

“We will immediately begin the process of developing a large Military presence in the appropriate part of Greenland, of which there are many,” Trump said in a Truth Social post.

He isn't done with the Greenland project. Much easier than an invasion. Put a big garrison in place. Then knock over the government in Nuuk. Dare NATO to do anything about it. NATO can't do anything about it, with Putin breathing down their backs.

17D chess.
