The cuts to Medicaid will affect every adult, even those not on Medicaid. It wouldn't take much
more than common sense for people to know that, but common sense is in short supply
nowadays. The linked article is Michigan focused, but I'm sure the situation is the same
in other States.
IMO, everything Trump is doing leads to costs going up on most everything that people use and need. We can all expect our healthcare costs to rise at an accelerated pace.
All of us old 65+ people will possibly get the $6k tax deduction gift for a couple of years.
Anybody that does their taxes knows that a $6k deduction does not equate to $6k in your pocket,
but rather $6K * your marginal tax bracket. So imo, most all of us are going to have less
money to work with due to the Trump policies. Add in Trump tariff taxes, and the depreciating
Dollar, and we are all going to feel this mess he's leading us into.

But hey, MAGA sounds good, so there is that.

"The effects of Medicaid cuts are expected to be felt by more than just the hundreds of thousands of Michiganders at risk of losing health insurance.

State and health industry leaders have said the cuts and spending package known as the “big, beautiful bill“ was signed into law July 4 by President Donald Trump will result in hospitals closing their doors, cutting staff and/or reducing available services to make up for losses in government funding."

"Residents with private and employer-provided health insurance are likely to see increased costs as hospitals seek to recoup funding. Longer emergency room wait times may also hit communities already struggling with access challenges, industry experts said Tuesday, July 8, during a media roundtable."

"The program covers about 2.6 million residents, or 25% of the population, making it the state’s largest health insurer. In some rural counties, 40% or more of the population is covered by Medicaid."

Joe, I'm glad you said possibly...
Low income seniors, many of whom already pay little or no federal tax, might see little or no benefit, since deductions only reduce taxable income, not tax owed directly.

Smoke and mirrors and LIES from Trump and the GOP.

But the only thing that really matters?...more money and power to the wealthiest. Exactly what our society does not need.

Do you want to look into the future of Trumpism? Just look at Putin's corrupt oligarchical system.

Yes, and Dope won't address this directly as a truth, just avoids it. It will affect me, but why Dope and others want to hurt the poor and favor the rich is puzzling, but it's been going on my entire life.
