Governor Beshear, whom I've been touting 1.5 years now....has one of the best Governor approval ratings in the country now.
He got re-elected in a Red State - AND increased his vote in the reddest counties.
If Club 401K he/him people sit down and shut up, this man can easily win a big election.
Sheeple will do as Sheeple is told in the end.
Just need to get the progressives to behave.

The donor base isn't homogeneous. The last few races have featured a "progressive lane" and a "centrist lane" among the multi-way candidates, and there's a ton of Democratic donor money that favors the "centrist lane" candidates.
Beshear's bigger obstacle will be building up national connections from a (relatively) small state governorship. That will put him at a disadvantage compared to other possible centrist lane candidates, like Whitmer or Klobuchar or Emmanuel (or, weirdly enough, Newsom seems to be trying to triangulate himself into that category).

By then they might want to win and it might be the Coastals who insist on winning. Not predicting it - just putting it out there.
Also remember- after 12 years of Dukakis Mondale etc..... them same Coastals were ok with a fellow from Arkansas.
In the end, Sheeple will do what Sheeple is told.
My fear is Beshear, Shapiro, and others split the sane vote.
And an AOC or equivalent wins with plurality.
Kinda like - Trump did.
