Just saw that Liz Cheney has said she is voting for Kamala Harris.
I don’t think we agree on many policy issues, but I love that woman.
There is one issue that we are in perfect sync; Democracy.

I'm sure that Harris does not represent Cheney's political views but she knows that Trump is such a serious threat to our democracy that he must be defeated.

Unfortunately, what we actually have is a couple I saw in a brief clip a couple of days ago who said that they were voting for Trump because they thought his word could be trusted.
That's the level of stupid we're dealing with here.

seems this is mostly to signal high profile conservatives that dislike trump but will not vote harris (bolton, esper, sullivan,...).
it will not shift MAGA votes on scale.

Cheney Clan has created more Gold Star Families than Trump has done.
It's time the wars come to American cities next time around - not just in the Middle East.
It's time NYC's citizens live like kids from Baghdad to Kabul have had to live.
Not just one day in a building - but as a way of life.
And the draft should start with 401K balances and educational level - the higher, the more chance of being drafted.
Then cheer Cheney.
I did. I used to. I was complicit in the Iraq War vis a vis a voter. You guys on the Left - were right. And Cheney is key to it - and now his daughter would do Russia, Iran, Syria, whatever else.
It's time the pretty people feel it on a regular basis.

Unfortunately, what we actually have is a couple I saw in a brief clip a couple of days ago who said that they were voting for Trump because they thought his word could be trusted.
People rationalize their voting, and they'll also vote with the bloc they're in. Over the years I found that I was ambivalent on prickly issues - ones where Albaby could outline the difficulty in the choice. So after looking at the issues I'd step back and look at the country to see whether we should go left or right. Needless to say, I watched as the right went further right. See "no compromise" from the Tea Party and then when the Tea Party died, their issues and thinking were just absorbed by the party. "No compromise" is a part of the Republican party.
So we have voters that don't believe in Democracy and if they look at America and see problems, their own solutions are right. They don't do the right thing, they do whatever is best for them. Enlightened selfishness? Naah. Just selfishness They see that people who do the right thing get punished for it. Liz cheney.
