The story had been that the US has been asking Israel to delay the Gaza operation to give more time to freeing hostages. Turns out the reason is something else:

Because ruining cities, whining about immigrants, trying to jail people you are scared of at the ballot box is hard and busy work.
And then there's the night job.
They have to put on sexy outfits and perfume and visit the beds of the Saudi King, Venezuelan leaders, Iranian Ayotollahs, and they have to give it all up in exchange for fossil fuels (they've been doing this all over the world".
So they are busy.
I wonder if Joe Biden had to take a pregnancy test after God knows what he had to do for MBS and the Ayatollah while begging for oil.
I support Biden's right to choose if he is knocked up.

Also, if Biden is to have MBS's baby because he got knocked up HO'ing for Fossil Fuels....
I hope Biden acknowledges the existence if his Saudi son a lot FASTER than he did his non-white grand daughter.

For the life of me I'll never understand the democrat party. Sometimes some stuff just isn't so hard.

Great, so now Biden has a new excuse for delaying the Israeli's in doing what must be done.
Joe can slow walk the missile defense deployment for a long time and essentially implement a ceasefire. With each passing day Israel weakens, the Palestinian propaganda creeps a little further, the Chinese watch to see what decisive action by Biden looks like, and most of all, the suffering and death to civilians on all sides continues.

And now the Iranians and their proxies know they can keep raining rockets down on US troops in the region.

'Israel Delays Ground Invasion Because US Is Unprepared to Defend Itself'
The story about why Israel has yet to make a ground invasion of Gaza is becoming clear, and it is yet another embarrassment for the United States under Joe Biden.

Israel has been prepared to enter Gaza to eliminate Hamas, but the ground invasion keeps getting delayed. The reason why?
The US is unprepared to defend US military installations in the area.
However, I am not sure that the Biden Administration isn't just pressuring Israel to delay for other reasons as well, given their neverending expressions of concern for Gaza.

Like.....perhaps....better conditions for negotiating the release of hostages.

Delay the Israeli response, exactly what the Hamas terrorist leaders who hatched the hostage plan had hoped for.

Time is on Hamas' side. Every delay actually puts the hostages - some of whom are in danger - at risk.

So you advise sacrificing these lives? Instead of ultimately bringing them home and then proceeding?

I can tell by your question you think waiting long enough will ultimately bring them home. Again, exactly what the hams game plan calls for. If they can delay the Israeli response long enough, then it won't (or can't) occur and we are right back to where we are right now and have been for 50 years.
To answer your question, I think the Israelis should have gone in already. Not to do so simply validates the Hamas strategy. It is not a matter of 200 hostages but hundreds of deaths every year in continuing the cat and mouse status quo until some other "solution" comes along, eg Iran nuking TelAviv.
It amazes me there are so many who would rather the Israeli's not retaliate at all even if there were no hostages. How long would you have the Israeli's wait?

I don't think that. I don't know if that would enable success, or not. But if that is not done, then I'm quite sure that the hostages will come home.....if at all.....only to be buried.

It's a much more complex situation and history. One of the threads in the current situation is that Netanyahu and his cohorts actually enabled support for Hamas to maintain conflict between the PLA/West Bank and Hamas/Gaza, which they were convinced would prevent either group from becoming strong enough to be a true threat to Israel.

Yes. Consider them casualties already. P
You can't negotiate with terrorists. That just encourages more kidnappings. Bad idea.
I know it's harsh. But you do no kindness to future generations by setting this precedent. The Israelis need to stomp on Hamas while doing their utmost to avoid noncombatants.
They should also force the settlers of illegally occupied territory to go home (Israel). Regardless of the disposition of the hostages.

Fervently agree. It should never have been allowed to begin with, should never have been allowed and encouraged to continue......and it needs to be reversed.

The orange rapist did not do it because it would have endangered his family's relationship and powwows with the Arabs that resulted in the $2,000,000,000.00 BILLION dollar fund his family got from the Arabs soon after leaving office.
That's one hell of a golden parachute for the FatDon's Javanka wing.
