When people ask why there's flagging faith in the government, it's because of stuff like this: errors *always* run in the same direction, in ways that benefit democrats and hurt Republicans. There's also never any real recourse.
The latest contestant is the US Census Bureau, which has been found to undercount Republican states and overcount democrat ones:

Not only was the Orange Idiot's administration in charge of the data collection of the 2020 Census but the Orange Idiot himself and his Commerce Secretary, Wilbur Ross, tried to control the methodologies and procedures for filling in data gaps, reviewing the counts for errors and protecting the confidentiality of people's information, and attempted to tamper with the count.
The Orange Idiot's last-minute decision to cut the counting short sparked public outcries, including a federal lawsuit that reached the U.S. Supreme Court. The court turned aside efforts to keep the census counting going through October which allowed the Trump administration to end up controlling the numbers used for apportionment.
So if you and House republicans have a problem with the census numbers and apportionment, the one to blame is the Orange Idiot.
BTW, why is this even an issue now? These data were made public back in 2022.
