Usually they have to be sycophants. Defend an entity they can't even locate on a map, armed by paid off talk-radio rhetoric and *one* book of the Bible that claims amongat other things...that decent people who lived a ecent life but didn't buy a membership card will somehow be left to suffer while "believers", even if they diddled and drank and raped and sinned will be 'saved' and taken to the new remodeleed earth, the one with the better sports package.
At least, *some* are asking questions.
At least, *some* who know they are risking their prestige, their career, and possibly their life.....are asking questions.
My feeling is that organization and money will prevail, as will 'unconventional' forms of silencing and these entities will as usual be quieted down.
But at least, there are sparks.
Who knows. One day it's possible that a few Republicans, a few MAGA who can think for themselves, a few members of the squad and mamdani himself.....will be 'going to San Francisco' and wearing a flower in their hair all on the same bus....

The American Left is now so far left that the Right is actually square in the center.
Look at the 8 Democratic Senators who voted to reopen the government. According to their own party, they are traitors.
Being reasonable means you are a traitor to the Left.
Even after the Senate vote, most of the Left still wants to keep the government shut down.

I agree. But i'm no better.
Right now if I call myself a Republican or Trump Supporter, that means I want to take food from innocent kids in the name of 'winning' on the Government Shutdown. It means I want to take health insurance away from my *own* voters. It means I rant 'America first' yet I get on my knees for Israel and bend over for China. It means i rail against ' Woke' yet i cozy up to Woke Corporations as much as I can. It meansi want to get rid of illegals and deport them, but instead of putting full focus on the crooks, I make sure to give equal time to people just standing outside a hardware store looking for one day's pay for one day's work.
So the Liberals are nutty.
But if I'm their opposite -- i'm really no better and at least, they don't want to make the country dumber and make stupidity and ignorance a prerequisite for being in their club.
