Ran across the following post in a forum.
After posting photos of several MaraLago specimens of surgically altered/enhanced humanity, including a few prominent political figures, the question was asked:
Question: Is there any historic precedent for a specific political party creating a bizarre aestheic look or even self-mutilation to differentiate themselves from people who have a different political viewpoint, or is this unique? There's an obvious comparison to be made between the ostentatious costumes of the rich people in the Capital of the Hunger Games versus the poor people who lived in rural areas and looked more naturally human, but today's medically mutilated aesthetic seems less rich-versus-poor and more partisan. Ironically, the look is exactly the same as that of drag queens and the look is only worn by people who hate drag queens. It is so strange.

I don’t have a clue as to why that particular aesthetic was chosen by MAGA as a standard of beauty.
I have, however read a few plastic surgeons suggest that the look may be due to botched surgical technique rather than choice.
Regardless, at the end of the day, drag queens wash it all off, an option not afforded the Mannequins of Mara Lago. They’re sorta stuck with their inflated lips and Joker smiles, unless they wish to undergo another round of expensive surgery, but by then, the surgeon is forced to work with a field that has been plowed, and plowed again, then slash burned and badly eroded. Not much to work with.
