The role as described, and as understood by those who actually interested in such things, is to wotk with government’s south of the border to strengthen THEIR borders and also to identify and begin addressing the root causes of immigrant migration.

It was never to be a “border czar”.

So attempting to look cool by wearing cargo pants and going to the border while making long speeches, as Ted Cruz and a parade of Republicans have done, was never on her dance card.

And the fact that Republicans prefer dancing to actually working on the problem is as plain as the nose on your face.
