https://nypost.com/2023/11/27/news/heavily-redacte...Special counsel Jack Smith’s comprehensive search warrant for information related to former President Donald Trump’s Twitter account sought the 2024 Republican presidential primary front-runner’s search history, drafted tweets, blocks and mutes.Sure, okay. So Smith wants to look into Trump's tweets.
But here's the fascist part.
The government also sought information on users who interacted with Trump leading up to the riot.
“All information from the ‘Connect’ or ‘Notifications’ tab for the account, including all lists of Twitter users who have favorited or retweeted tweets posted by the account, as well as all tweets that include the username associated with the account (i.e. “mentions” or “replies”),” the warrant states. That's right. If somebody hit the 'like' button, they're now on a list that Jack Smith has.
This is Stasi-level stuff. It's also not the first time this gang of criminals has done something like this (recall putting parents on watch lists for merely speaking up about school boards).
Had Trump done 1/1,000,000th of this
you people, your state-run media and every democrat politician would have melted down all the way to China by now. You'd be screaming in the streets 24/7.
And we'd see posts about FASCISMFASCIM 24/7 on here.
But since this is your team - and since most of the left consists of a bunch of hypocritical performance artists who since they aren't talented enough to do dinner theater they wax hysterical on politics - there's silence.

"John Lambert, who co-founded Students for Trump with Fournier, was sentenced to 13 months in prison in May 2021 for posing as a lawyer to steal money from his victims.
Lambert pleaded guilty to wire fraud and was ordered to forfeit over $46,000 and pay more than $21,000 in restitution to his victims."https://nypost.com/2023/11/28/news/students-for-tr...Speaking of fascists, that photo of Fournicater on the White House lawn... SS Odal runes on his lapels would not look out of place.

I like that the Left defends this stuff.
That means both sides get away with it :)

Of course. The funny bit is that these people aren't aware that the masks (that they weren't aware they were wearing in the first place) have fallen off.

The answer is right there in your link and even the pitiful New York Post makes it clear: The government also sought information on users who interacted with Trump leading up to the riot.
So crimes were committed by Trump, he was actually indicted on three counts of conspiracy over his efforts to stay in power after the 2020 election, and prosecutors wanted to learn who else participated in the conspiracy.
That ain't fascism, that's how you investigate a wide-ranging conspiracy.
Jeebus, the law and order party sure hates law and order when it involves Orange Jesus and his cult.

That’s not a rebuttal. You’re merely pointing to other things the feds hovered up.
If Trump had scooped up your name, you’d have lost your mind.

Earth to Dope, Earth to Dope! Come back down. This is how you do investigations. To connect the dots, you get all the dots and see which ones are relevant. Yes, we want Epstein's phone records and we want *all* the phone records.

Funny, but I remember a time when Bush was using the Patriot Act to look at the people who terrorists were 1 or 2 hops away from and the left screamed FASCISM.
Earth to Lapsody. Either get in the debate, or *points to the bench* sit over there.

The Patriot Act violated a couple of amendments. It was an abomination. Warrantless wiretaps? As far as I'm concerned, they can investigate anyone they like as long as the follow the rules. For example, get a judge to sign an order.
The Patriot Act allowed them NOT to follow the rules. I think that's what most people had a problem with.

And then this was done to Carter Page and people 1, 2 hops from him how did you feel about that?
And how about after it came out that the FBI was lying to the court the entire time?

Lying is not following the rules.
