All those dire speeches by Democratic Senators on the Senate floor did absolutely nothing. Who are they trying to reach? Fellow republicans obviously don't give a damn. Frankly, none of them had that inspired "fire in the belly" that is needed right now.

And to my undying shame, Patel was a native of Long Island (in Garden City) where I grew up and still live. ☹️

It's now Morons All The Way Up (giving those "turtles all the way down" a run for their money).

I'm still hoping for that asteroid impact on 2032 to put us all out of our misery, though it now only has a 3% chance of impact.

I can't believe Moscow Mitch didn't join them. I guess he really does have "unfinished business" left for his remaining 2 years in office as he stated on the Senate floor today (on his birthday!) when he revealed that he - not surprisingly - won't seek another term. Apparently, he's not quite done destroying America. What an 'effin' traitor, Trump hater though he may be.
