The week's question
In December 2024, in the thread "Re: BRK: Why Not XOM?", BreckHutHigh asked the members: "What about the long road trips with kids?" This week it is put to everyone again. The button below opens the small thread re-asking it - read what others have said so far, then give your own answer as an ordinary reply.

Many years ago, this is when the TMF Liberals were busy with Bush Derangement Syndrome....

There was discussion of Turkey joining the EU. Of course, the typical White Xenophobic Europeans couldn't tolerate that. President Bush came out in favor of it - and the Haughty, EuroRacistSoulmates on the SandyLeeLee Left......told Bush to shut up. While that was happening - someone on TMF was suggesting that Turkey, being a very moderate nation, full of braintrust and progress might be a marvelous way to show that moderate Islam and Western Democracy can be synergistic, not adversarial and who knows - that might lead both sides in more positive directions.

Well, it didn't happen. Since then - Turkey started going a certain direction. And it's a pleasure to see your "Nato ALLY" mouth off to you, the Germany War Machine, and your Israeli masters. Anyhow...more on your "Nato Ally" these days. I know, I know, it's not a "Trump!" story - or as important your kids deciding if their genitalia was a mistake.

cnbc.com - Turkey election erdogan ahead after acrimonious campaigns

"Turkey votes in runoff election after candidates double down on nationalism and fear"

Sadly, it won't be a failed Muslim state in Europe's backyard -- but this will continue to pay 'dividends' for much time to come.

Frankly I'm surprised your CIA and Mossad didn't figure out a way to get Erdogan out of office. But the fact that his opponent is embracing nationalism and fear also - -gives me a wonderful warm feeling.

While the Establishment in DC tries to consolidate power, and the same happens in Brussels .....I really feel strongly that as World War 3 goes down........... Europe needs to pay the price. Any price. No asterisks or disclaimers needed.

Makes me want to diet and exercise better. I want to be around to see it.
