Who the hell is president of the U.S. right now? Correct me if I'm wrong, but Trump hasn't been inaugurated yet, right?
The orange clown is sure acting like the sitting president. He's weaving a web of lies and misinformation at a breathless pace in a press briefing at Mar-a-Lago right now, and every damn thing - currently bad, or soon to be great- is "like no one's ever seen before". It's a sickening display of narcissism.
WTF have we become? I weep for America.

I'm waiting till he takes office. After about 3 months he should have his bearings and we'll see what chaos unfolds. We *are* going to have a festival of deportations and retributions, but what else?

I’ll go out on a limb and predict that the deportations will be about the same numbers as Biden deported. Or Obama deported.
But they will be celebrated by the Red Hats as if it were some miraculous change that is entirely due to His Orangeness taking office.

It may be true it will be the same number - so as not to disturb the economy. I wouldn't put anything past Steve Miller though. If we are thinking actual "no change", how significant do the changes in people coming in ( no matter the status) have to be for us to think it's different? I would think incoming reduced 40%, deportees up 35%, criminal deportations up 40%. Companies will be intimidated to keep prices low.
Retributions? 2 or more will be significant. There will be more fake ones, where someone goofs and it's billed as a retribution.
Firings? A lot. One small department may get gutted - and hailed as a major milestone.
And it will be chaos - no smooth sailing. We'll feel it, and the economy may too.
