The BSP answer that criminals must go will be agreeable to most any sane person. Right now the BSP response of resist with every fiber of my being is only reinforcing the boogeyman that Trumps evil desire is to deport Abuella.

No, it's not. I think you're arguing against a strawman, here. Even in sanctuary areas, if someone has been convicted of a violent crime committed while in the U.S. illegally, the local government isn't going to "resist with every fiber of [their] being" their deportation.
