This is what he was poised to air before Fox fired him. When you listen to it, you'll understand why.

Highlights are here:
https://townhall.com/tipsheet/leahbarkoukis/2023/0...

That day was strange. It started by the military and various federal law enforcement agencies not telling the Capitol police that this wasn't going to be an ordinary protest:

https://twitter.com/VigilantFox/status/16898262922...

According to Former Chief of the Capitol Police, Steven Sund, Federal agencies had intelligence suggesting the potential for violence leading up to January 6, including threats against officers, potential use of chemicals, and plans to storm buildings.

Despite this, none of these details were included in the intelligence assessments. Instead, documents from Sund's former intelligence unit on January 4th, 5th, and 6th indicated a low probability of civil disobedience.

@TuckerCarlson
remarked, 'So, if you were, and I'm not, but if you were conspiracy-minded, you might think that certain agencies concluded there was likely be chaos at the Capitol, and that served their political purposes. And so, they let it happen, and they prevented you from stopping it.'

Why not share the info? Oh, right. Unless you wanted it to happen.

When Sund was begging for help, he kept getting told he had to go up the chain of command - to Pelosi and Mitch McConnell as they ran the police force and have to grant permission to bring in the National Guard.

https://twitter.com/VigilantFox/status/16898105466...

'So this is an event that Pelosi herself has likened to Pearl Harbor and 9/11 ' the worst thing that's ever happened on American soil. And she's in charge of allowing the National Guard to come in and respond, but she doesn't for 71 minutes? What is that?'

Pelosi doesn't answer for 71 minutes.

More tidbits.

https://twitter.com/CollinRugg/status/168980083838...

Sund reveals that military leaders were so worried about January 6th that they were considering locking down the city but then mysteriously kept quiet to Sund.

'On Sunday and Monday, they had been discussing locking down the city' because of the concern for violence. You know who issues the permits on Capitol Hill for demonstrations?'

'I do,' Sund said.

'You know, who wasn't told? Me. Instead, on January 4th, what does Miller do? He puts out a memo restricting the National Guard from carrying the various weapons, any weapons, any civil disobedience equipment that would be utilized for the very demonstrations or violence that he sees coming. It just doesn't make any sense.'

Actually, it makes perfect sense.

Dope1: When Sund was begging for help, he kept getting told he had to go up the chain of command - to Pelosi and Mitch McConnell as they ran the police force and have to grant permission to bring in the National Guard.

Jeebus. What an idiot.

From CNN: Facts First: The Speaker of the House is not in charge of Capitol security. That's the responsibility of the Capitol Police Board, which oversees the US Capitol Police and approves requests for National Guard assistance.

Jane L. Campbell, president and CEO of the US Capitol Historical Society, told CNN that "the Speaker of the House does not oversee security of the US Capitol, nor does this official oversee the Capitol Police Board."

Confirmed by AP: As Speaker of the House, Pelosi does not direct the National Guard. Further, as the Capitol came under attack, she and the Senate Majority leader called for military assistance, including the National Guard.

And by the New York Times: A Times investigation detailed why it took nearly two hours to approve the deployment on Jan 6. After rioters breached the Capitol, Chief Sund called Mr. Irving at 1:09 p.m. with an urgent request for the National Guard. Mr. Irving approached Ms. Pelosi's staff with the request at 1:40 p.m., and her chief of staff relayed it to her at 1:43 p.m., when she approved it. But it would be hours more before Pentagon officials signed off on the deployment and informed the District of Columbia National Guard commander that he had permission to deploy the troops.

That's 3 minutes, not 71 minutes.

In light of the death of the great Robbie Robertson earlier this week, I am reminded of his observation of Levon Helm in his memoir, a sentiment that also describes the Cult of Trump: "it was like some demon had crawled into my friend's soul and pushed a crazy, angry button."

Fact check Fail by the librul media. As always.

https://www.newsweek.com/senate-passes-bill-allowi...

The U.S. Senate has unanimously passed a bill that would allow U.S. Capitol Police (USCP) in Washington, D.C., to request assistance without prior approval during an emergency.

Why'd they need to pass a bill for that? Oh, right. Because they had to ask before.

"Capitol Police officers and their law enforcement partners were left alone to defend the Capitol and our democracy itself from violent insurrectionists, while the Chief of the Capitol Police was delayed in obtaining approval to request help from the National Guard," the bill's other co-author, Democratic Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar, said.

Klobuchar's probably lying because according to your "factcheckers", there was no delay at all!

On January 4, then-USPC Chief Steven Sund requested the Capitol Police Board to declare a state of emergency and authorize a request for additional troops from the National Guard, according to The New York Times. However, the board denied Sund's request.

And this is from freaking Newsweek of all places.

When the riots started, Sund asked the board for backup from the National Guard. But it took over an hour for the board to fulfill the request. This was because the commander of the D.C. National Guard, Major General William J. Walker, required additional approval from the Pentagon before he could dispatch such forces.

Uh, huh.

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2021-01-26...
U.S. Capitol police were denied pre-authorization for National Guard support two days before the violent insurrection that overwhelmed their defenses and threatened lawmakers, according to written testimony in a House briefing on security failures in the deadly Jan. 6 riot.

Almost like...hmm.
