"With the gifts coming, some Berkshire watchers were intrigued that a link on its website to Buffett's original letters to the five foundations written in 2006 is no longer there.

The link was removed on May 18 based on Wayback Machine, a website that archives digital content including websites like that of Berkshire Hathaway.


The link was titled 'Information Regarding Warren E. Buffett's Annual Contribution to Five Foundations.' The letters still can be found by searching on the Internet.

Berkshire didn't respond to a request for comment about whether there is any significance to the missing link."

Interesting, was not aware. Makes one wonder given the recurrent headlines over the last year or so whether he will adjust how his XL Philanthropy pie will be allocated. No doubt, he will be extraordinarily thoughtful. In time he may be well remembered for his overwhelming philanthropy as much as his investing, valuation, allocation and teaching genius.
