TRUMP will sell American citizenship for $5 million via a Gold card: “We're going to be putting a price on that card of about $5 million and that's going to give you [permanent resident] Green Card privileges, plus it's going to be a route to citizenship,” the president said. He branded it as “somewhat like a Green Card, but at a higher level of sophistication.”

Huh. Well, it's not like there are citizenship laws or anything.

Oh wait.

REPORTER: “Would a Russian oligarch be eligible for a gold card?”

TRUMP: “Yeah, possibly. Hey. I know some Russian oligarchs that are very nice people.”

Umm.

This idiot monster will be out of power in 4 years, but 4 years is a long time.

It is vitally important that the mid-terms shift the balance of power in Congress. But we know that the right will be doing all they can to make sure we do not have fair elections. We'll see.

I've been through the immigration process. It is somewhat laborious, with different forms to be filled out, each with their own processing times, and requirements of presence (e.g. need to be present for 6 months to apply for this, five years for that, etc).

I'm assuming (perhaps incorrectly?) that POTUS can't just change the rules on a whim. I would expect there to be several laws/statutes passed by Congress involved. Though I would expect him to be able to change a policy that isn't based in statutes. Not sure buying your way into this country would be one of them.
