I finally watched the whole debate (traveling in totally different time zone, this was first time I could watch it).
So who to replace Biden with? I feel the only suitable candidate is Abortion, and then put Social Security on the ticket.

Hammer the living shit out of abortion, Even though Trump actually handled that one amazingly well --- this is a proven issue for the Dems and they need to make the race about *this*. The remaining 20% of the campaign - find stuff Trump said about Social Security, and do the best Willie Horton ad you can do and blast it in swing states and Florida.
Example:
President Biden, what is your tax plan?
Answer "Trump will take away abortion rights forever, I won't" .
President Biden, is the CHIPS act working?
Answer "Trump will take away a woman's right to choose. I won't"
Dr Mrs Biden - do you dress Joe up like a Girl Scout at night?

Rinse and repeat. Anyone who says anything else - fired from the campaign.
THIS is the issue that can carry Biden ---otherwise he's cranked.
I continue to believe Trump will have an unexpectedly higher vote from blacks and hispanics. Biden needs to get the girls out to vote. He literally needs a female NRA member ---to come out and vote for him.

Bubble dwelling paternalistic 401K toting White Liberals will see that comment as racist.

HISPANICS, many of them don't want this to turn into the old country. They don't want an unlimited labor supply - - they want higher wages and maybe even a benefit.
Also keep in mind- Trump said bad hombres and rapists and murdereres - and in 2016 his hispanic numbers were better than Romney or W.
Finally, 401K White Liberal Bubble Dwellers see "hispanics" as one size fits all, just like they do with blacks.
But Trump - when invoking things like Socialism accusations - resonates with some non Mexican hispanics in key states.
So this won't be some big sea change. I'm just saying - a 2% bump with blacks is actually a 20% increase from the usual 10%. AND it's a double hit because that 2% comes from Biden's tally.
