If I were a NM voter, I would not be happy. And, as I've said, I would be OK with repealing the 2A completely. But this will just cost money, and there's a good chance that cases against actual bad people will get tossed because of the illegal arrest.

Stupidity isn't a virtue. If they had crafted something clever, defensible, then maybe it would be worth doing. But, from what I understand, this just isn't.
