US embassies in Paris and Stockholm have demanded that local governments make sure that any local contractors who are hired to maintain embassy facilities in those cities don’t have DEI-style policies of hiring minorities. Stockholm’s vice-mayor called the request “bizarre,” and the French were blunt, saying: “US interference in French companies’ inclusion policies is unacceptable, just like its unjustified tariff threats. France and Europe will defend their companies, their consumers, but also their values.” The rest of the world is frankly horrified by the racism and rejection of democratic principles that animate this administration

Yeah...that wasn't going to fly, especially in France.
In fact, France might rub it in his face and actually flaunt their DEI practices. I wouldn't put it past them. In many ways, the French democracy is better than ours. The people seem to have much more sway over their government than we do over ours. Pass a bad policy, and expect French-people all over their country to hit the streets with signs and banners protesting whatever it was.
