Lots of deal makers now want to adopt the Berkshire model.

First it was Bill Ackman:

Then Bruce Flatt:

I might take them seriously and even invest in their business if they emulated Buffett in their compensation too.

“ Lots of deal makers now want to adopt the Berkshire model.
“ The beauty of the Brk model was Buffett and Munger worked free for 50 years. Those who promote their products while invoking the Berkshire name are deliberately misleading potential investors, imo. Let’s see the chart, if Buffett and munger took 1.5 percent combined for the past 30 years, how much of current stockholders equity would be theirs not ours?? That’s the secret sauce and I’d love to see that chart disclosed.

Prem Watsa's of Fairfax Financial makes 600K/year with no shares or options, which is relatively small compared to the 100 highest paid Canadian CEO's:

FRFH has had quite a run up in share price in recent years.
It's trading trading at 8.9 P/E, 1.2 P/S, 1.36 P/B

Does anyone follow it in detail?
