Of course Trump is an ardent supporter of the elder Bolsonaro and no doubt his son, too. Trump has never met an authoritarian that he didn't like.
iirc, when Trump the Astounding announced his "liberation day" tariffs, Brazil was scheduled for the base rate, 10%. Then Bolsonaro went to prison for his coup attempt, and Trump raised the tariff to 50%. The "JCs" are probably hoping Bolsonaro the younger wins, not because they give a fig about the Brazilian people, but Junior would undoubtedly release his dad from prison, and probably cook up some charge to toss Lula in prison instead, so Trump would drop the tariff back to 10%, like Argentina enjoys on most exports to the US.
