Interesting history of hospice, and many scams associated with hospice.

(John Oliver; he does use some colorful language on occasion)

I guess we were luckier. Our hospice nurse visited a few times, and was on-call (i.e. the memory care folks could call to get someone out, or to ask questions). 1poormom wasn't in hospice long (less than 3 weeks, as I recall) since she couldn't swallow or speak after her stroke.
