This would be such a HUGE advance for those of us (me) who want the Rule of Law bullshit to be shredded.
Trump is good

White house aids are discussing preemptive pardons, but it isn't clear how that would work.
And even if a mass pardon for unindicted crimes survives the Supreme Court, it still won't stop "inquiries" and "investigations" by committees, will it? I think it's a poor idea that will further tarnish Biden's legacy and the dem party in general.

Let Biden tell it like it is and everyone who doesn't like it can dial back up the 'unitary executive theory' and the recent claims by the USSC regarding Presidential powers:
"President-elect Trump and his team have already named 'enemies' and signaled an intention to prosecute them, often without mentioning any specific crime. That's not how the Justice Department works and directly opposes the system of justice this country was founded on. That cannot be allowed to continue.
Given this situation, I am granting pardons to the following people so that they will not be part of his vengeful game and so that the Justice Department can instead get back to what it does best: working for the American People.
So I hereby pardon <names>..."

So I hereby pardon <names>..."
I get ya, Blue Grits. But do you limit it to an action and a period of time? Like say - any crimes associated with investigations into Donald Trump for the period xxxxxx? Would pardoning any federal crimes for the periods 1-1-2015 to 12-31-2024 be likely to survive scrutiny by the Supremes? Just what has the best chance of surviving?
