If someone appears to be repeatedly personal, lean towards patience as they might not mean offense. If you are sure, however, then do not deepen the problem by being negative; instead, simply place them on ignore by clicking the unhappy yellow face to the right of their name.

How do Trumpers deal with the cognitive dissonance?

They don't have to because they live in a right wing bubble where facts and reality seldom intrude.

Trump said he was against H-1B visas?

Then Elon told him what to think, and sure enough Trump now says,
"H-1B is a great program, I'm a believer in H-1B. I've always liked the visas, I have always been in favor of the visas. That's why we have them!" ~Trump
