WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump’s abrupt reversal on his plan to help ships go through the Strait of Hormuz came after a key Gulf ally suspended the U.S. military’s ability to use its bases and airspace to carry out the operation, according to two U.S. officials.
Trump surprised Gulf allies by announcing “Project Freedom” on social media Sunday afternoon, the officials said, angering leadership in Saudi Arabia. In response, the Kingdom informed the U.S. it would not allow the U.S. military to fly aircraft from Prince Sultan Airbase southeast of Riyadh or fly through Saudi airspace to support the effort, the officials said.
Interesting that the Saudis have more control over Trump than Congress or the SCOTUS.

Well, did Congress or SCOTUS provide funding to Trump‘s peace board?
Gulf countries pledged more than $4 billion in combined financial support to US President Donald Trump’s Board of Peace, as they signaled financial backing for efforts aimed at resolving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and advancing regional stability.
The pledges were announced during the first meeting of the Board of Peace in Washington, where Qatar and Saudi Arabia each committed $1 billion. Kuwait also pledged $1 billion over the coming years, while the United Arab Emirates announced an additional $1.2 billion in support for Gaza through the board. …

I wonder if the Saudi family simply doesn’t want Iranian missiles coming their way. Iran has already shown a willingness to attack US bases in the region. I’m sure they’d have no qualms attacking the base in Saudi Arabia.
But why are the Saudis worried about that? Don’t they know that Trump has obliterated the Iranian’s military capabilities? He said so!

Money. Saudi's pipe to the Red Sea can carry the vast majority of Saudi export volume, Why would they want more competition, by the Strait being open? Nah. Rant #1 works as well for MBS as it does for Trump the Great and Powerful.

Small quibble- it’s “Netanyahu”, not “da Joos”.
But other than that, I feel your pain. At various times, Trump has fluttered his eyes at each, and there’s all sorts of personal financial or potential blackmail relationships with all three.
When the chickens come home to roost, there are often more chickens than just one.
The same can be said for the Lothario or Cassanova who sports a wife, three mistresses and four friends with benefits.
And then, one day, all eight find themselves at the same restaurant and begin comparing stories…. And then each tries to make off with the major portion of said Cassanova’s financial assets, and let’s just say that such situations can get messy, and it’s hard to tell who’s up and who’s down, whose narrative is winning, whose bank account is winning….. it just gets messy.
So it is with Donald Trump who uses and discards people with the frequency that a man with the runs displays as he strips sheets of toilet paper from the roll.
It just gets messy. And asking for the identity of one clear actor in the drama…. misses the point entirely.

Report: Trump's private admission sends warning to Netanyahu
...when Laura Loomer leaned in close to the President two months ago and warned him that the American public was giving up on the Jewish State, his two-word reply landed like a thunderclap, carrying an ominous message for Benjamin Netanyahu.
'You're probably going to be the last pro-Israel President we ever have,' Loomer recounted telling Trump, in an interview with the New York Times.
Trump, she says, replied: 'You're right.'https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/report-trump-...Of course, this could simply be Trump the Pirate King trying to shake down "Bibi" for a bribe to keep the aid flowing to Israel.
