You can’t whine about fascism while cheering on tech company censorship and labeling all sorts of speech you don’t like as ‘misinformation’.

You can’t even get that right.

It’s not “misinformation”. It’s “DIS-information”- deliberately lying in order to achieve a political outcome”.

It’s “They’re eating the dogs and cats of the people in Springfield” in order to encourage bomb threats in Springfield schools and hospitals.

It’s “They can control the weather” in order to provoke death threats against meteorologists, NOAA, and the entire “climate change industry”

It’s “They stole the election” (and all of the attendant lies that went with that assertion) in order to galvanize a mob to attack the Capitol in a Hail Mary attempt to stop the electoral count and throw the election into the House.

It’s lie after debunked lie that has intentionally been promoted to stoke hatred, erode confidence and provoke violence in order to achieve a political outcome that could not be obtained otherwise.

And a democracy has every right to defend itself against intentional lies that are designed to destroy it.

Violence is the handmaid of fascism. Fascism encourages violence. Fascism seeks to control the state in order to legitimize its violence.

And after fascism takes power, it uses state sponsored violence against perceived enemies of the state in order to legitimize its rule.

Inevitably, the list of perceived enemies grows to include many of fascism’s supporters as well, but by then it’s too late.

Fascism must be defeated at the polls.

The cunning of fascism is its use of the very freedoms of democracy in order to drive a knife into the heart of democracy itself.

Elon Musk’s grandfather was a member of the KKK in Saskatchawan (Did you know that?) The family eventually moved to Apartheid South Africa where Elon spent his formative years.

Now Elon is using his platform to promote racist and anti-democracy DIS-information (aka “intentional” lies) in order to elect a tyrant who stands against the democratic government of this country.

In 24 days, we’re going to find out whether America is too dumb to survive.
