Tell me. Should a Navy generally have more ships than admirals?
Depends on the tasks assigned.
We all know that the point of the spear has a long, logistical tail.
A tail, by the way, that pretty well fell apart a month ago in the Persian Gulf.
Destruction to logistical bases in the area, yes, of course, but not all of it can be attributed to Iranian rockets.
Perhaps the ignorance of Pete Hegseth is partially to be blamed. He still thinks like a junior officer with his focus on the point of the spear rather than the boring stuff of logistics that makes the point of the spear “pointy”.
Perhaps we don’t have enough admirals.
Was there an admiral tracking our inventory of defensive missiles?
Perhaps Hegseth shouldn’t have fired so many of them.
