In a statement Thursday, the Secret Service said it is reviewing the newly released body-camera video.
“The U.S. Secret service appreciates our local law enforcement partners, who acted courageously as they worked to locate the shooter that day,” said Anthony Guglielmi, an agency spokesperson. “The attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump was a U.S. Secret Service failure, and we are reviewing and updating our protective policies and procedures in order to ensure a tragedy like this never occurs again.”

Well it appears those damn procedures were the root cause. Too bad you can't fire "the procedures" but that is how the system is designed, to avoid individual accountability.
I hope their policy updates include, "Only put competent people in positions of leadership". Then when another leadership failure occurs, we can fire the person who put an incompetent person in charge. But wait, what happens when we are told a process is used to decide who to put in charge?

The guy that denied more protection to Trump - and set a lot of this in motion - is now running the "investigation".
The only way out of this is to fire the people that appointed them - Biden and Harris - and start to reform the government.

In no other assassination or assassination attempt, did the Secret Service have so much advance notice to do something effective about the threat starting long before the first shots were fired, let alone how poorly they responded afterwards.
