Well, here we are.
I suppose Dope and LM can somehow see this as a good thing and justified.
White House Threatens Broad Crackdown on Liberal Groups
Top Trump administration officials used Charlie Kirk’s podcast to vow a governmental crackdown on left-wing organizations in the name of the slain conservative activist.
Trump administration officials on Monday responded to the activist Charlie Kirk’s assassination by threatening to bring the weight of the federal government down on what they alleged was a left-wing network that funds and incites violence, seizing on the killing to make broad and unsubstantiated claims about their political opponents.
Complete and utter bullshit.

As has been asked on this board, how will the regime leverage the murder? Looking more like the Reichstag fire every day. As several pundits said, before the election: believe what he is saying he will do.

There's an attempt now, so we'll have these long drawn out court battles while the attempt marches forward. I don't think they'll be successful, but my thinking can change.

David Frum, one time speechwriter for Bush 43, now writing for the Atlantic, was on Amanpour tonight. He talked about the guilt by association gambit, to use the murder to make it impossible for Democrats to raise campaign money, for the midterms, next year. Guilt by association is a long practiced technique at Fox Noise. I have talked, before, about how Sean Hannity used Jeremiah Wright to connect Obama to Louis Farrakhan's most inflammatory comments about white people, to imply that Obama hated white people. Frum said words to the effect "they will try to connect Robinson to the extreme left, then connect the extreme left to the mainstream Democratic party, to choke off Democratic fund raising".
Responding to a question about Patel's comments wrt the case, Frum said "why would I believe anything Patel says?"
