For years anyone who questioned the wet market theory was labeled a conspiracy nut.

No, That was about 6-9 months, and then we'd just say likely, or highly likely wet market. Let me put is this way, China thought enough of it that they killed a huge number of animals on farms. There were farms that raised everything from partly domesticated animals to wild animals. People who would trap wild animals. Last I checked it was still stopped.

Yes, we know Wuhan Lab did gain of function research. All that. Time has passed and it's still very likely that it was animal to human origin.
