Republicans are accusing Senator Chris Van Hollen of "cozying up" to a known gang member.
First, it's not even clear that Abrego-Garcis IS in fact gang member.(*)
But, where's the outrage over Trump cozying up to undisputed dictators Putin and Bukele.

To be more clear, the M, S, 1, 3 characters on top were clearly added as were the almost unreadable “Marijuana” “Smiley” “Cross” and “Skull" words below. But it's obvious that these were added only as explanatory aids, not to deceive!
That said, the actual tattoos look real, though proving that it's A-G's hand is another matter. Too bad Van Hollen didn't ask to see A-G's hands!

Well, maybe Mad King Donald should have said so, then. And BTW, why in the hell would you believe anything from this White House?
A few points:
1. MS-13 members have never been secretive with their tattoos by resorting to obscure symbols. On the contrary, they have MS-13 in big bold letters tattooed all over their bodies, including their faces.
2. Maybe those symbols mean "weed," "wasted," "Jesus," and "death," spelling out WWJD. How appropriate for Easter Sunday. ICE sources and experts who have studied MS-13 have said that they've never heard of the specific symbolic references made by the White House.
3. Who the hell cares about his tattoos? As we've discussed here ad nauseum, if there is evidence against Kilmar Abrego Garcia, bring him to court and present it. If the evidence they have is the slam dunk claimed by AG Bondi and Mad King Donald, then it should be easy enough to deport him.
You know, we're getting closer but this isn't Nazi Germany yet and anyone who wants to Minority Report individuals should spend a little time reading the Constitution, learning about due process, and studying history.
In short, follow the law.

Agreed. I was jut pointing out the clearly misleading story about the photo being altered. It clearly was altered, but just as clearly, the images of the tats are real (based on the photo with Van Hollen. But it's still all irrelevant, without further proof of MS-13 membership that would stand up in court and giving A-G due process.

But having been at one time a member of a gang is not in itself a deportable offense. Indeed, the very reason so many Venezuelans (among others) to the long, dangerous trip to the US is precisely because they either had to become gang members or face possible death. The relevant facts are about what they've done in the US since living here.
DOJ admits that many of them have no criminal records, not even arrests for minor offenses. Hell, the Mad King has a longer rap sheet than many of the folks his secret police have deported.

Of course they aren't real. That would've been noted at the time of arrest and part of the written and visual report. The police who didn't believe the accuser might've believed it with those tattoos.
