Now in Minneapolis it's open season on the citizens. Helpfully, this woman is also on board with disarming regular folks...or at least she was.

It's the great American liberal dichotomy: Be soft on criminals, support "Restorative justice" and other BS woke policies, defund and demoralize police, then turn around and disarm law abiding citizens. No sane person could square that intellectual circle but they keep at it, day after day.

I'll disagree with you a little bit...Giving liberals liberalism and assuming they'll change their minds doesn't always work. Seattle area voters have experienced a near doubling of murders, skyrocketing property crime, drugs all over the place and STILL will keep voting in the same people that ruined one of America's jewels. Their religious fervor for The Church of Progressivism leads them to keep voting for the same things over and over again.

I take your point that it doesn't change their mind - always.

But maybe a few voters would change?

And if not....and this last one is speaking just for myself: Lights, Camera, Action. Sorry, but after decades of believing in the "we're all Americans" crap -and watching them in action - - -this is where I've arrived.

SEATTLE ' Target shoppers say they're getting frustrated while trying to fill up their carts with things like toothpaste and razors.

The company is locking up more items to help mitigate shoplifting.

The location by Pike Place Market is one of three Seattle Targets that made a rather dubious list a few months ago.

A city audit published in July collected data on city shoplifting in 2022. The Targets at Pike Place, Northgate, and Westwood Village are among the top ten stores that Seattle Police responded to for shoplifting calls last year.

Local shoppers told KIRO 7 the new security measures turned what should be a quick errand into a real-life game of Where's Waldo, trying to find Target employees that can unlock the items on their shopping lists.

'What can you do, if you don't do that, people are going to steal it,' said shopper Mickey Dupuy.

What can you do? You arrest, prosecute and LOCK UP shoplifters, that's what.

This is reality in blue America: they're so progressive and feel so good about themselves, it never registers that they're hurting themselves every day. Their religious fervor is too strong.

UW assessment finds fentanyl and methamphetamine smoke linger on public transit vehicles

Two years ago, as life regained its rhythm and public transit once again filled with people, train and bus operators spotted a troubling trend. Some operators reported instances of people smoking drugs on their vehicles, and worried that the haze it created could linger, potentially affecting workers' physical and mental health.

Spurred by operators' concerns, five transit agencies in Washington and Oregon approached researchers at the University of Washington with a yes-or-no question: Were transit operators being exposed to drug smoke or residue in their workplace?

The answer is nuanced. A UW research team conducted a limited-scope, first-of-its-kind assessment and detected fentanyl and methamphetamine on board numerous transit vehicles, both in the air and on surfaces. But nearly all of the positive samples contained small amounts that are unlikely to cause acute medical conditions. And it remains unclear if consistent, long-term exposure ' such as that potentially faced by operators working a 40-hour week ' poses a risk to worker health.

Get that? Second hand cigarette smoke is the most deadly thing on the planet but we can't say for sure that meth and fentanyl residue are bad.

Just touching fetty in powder form can cause a reaction as it absorbs through your skin. But liberal overlords want you to give up your car and breathe in clouds of meth smoke from the guy lighting up in the seat next to you. And if he goes nuts right there on the bus and decides to throw you out the window? They have 'restorative justice' plans for that. You didn't need your phone, wallet and nose intact anyway. The drug addict is the real victim here, not you.

You couldn't pay me to ride public transit in Seattle. It's a freak show.

No similar guidelines exist for airborne methamphetamine.


100%. Every. Single. Air. Sample. had meth in it and 98% of the surface samples did, too. One wonder what that 1 clean spot on the bus was that DIDN'T have meth on it.
