The Lancet published a paper yesterday that evaluates the impact of two decades of USAID interventions and projecting the effects of defunding on mortality up to 2030 and Elon Musk's and Mad King Donald's decision to defund USAID and PEPFAR will kill as many as 14,051,750 (uncertainty interval 8,475,990–19,662,191), including 4,537,157 (3,124,796–5,910,791) children younger than age 5 years, by 2030.

Even for a guy whose irresponsibility led to the deaths of over one million Americans, that's a pretty remarkable number of avoidable deaths.

I guess we're all about to become Haley Joel Osment and see a lot of dead people.
