At the end of Q2 Berkshire owned precisely 400,000,000 shares of AAPL which matches the 400,000,000 shares they own of KO.

Coincidence? Or do you think Mr. Buffett is intentionally being symbolic here?

Could be either, but also could be a signal that Berkshire has stopped selling and now has the position it wants to continue to hold for now. I guess they like round numbers. I also realized that they seem to never reinvest their dividends in anything I think. That could be more for accounting purposes, to avoid muddling up the basis (that's why I don't reinvest dividends in taxable accounts), and to avoid unintentionally going over some percentage ownership in various companies.

We discussed an article or video a few weeks ago that asserted that Berkshire didn't sell Apple out of a lack of confidence in the company, but rather because it simply became too large a percentage of Berkshire's overall worth. I can see that.
