Not US policy related, so putting it here.

This is wild. Russian operatives hiring gangs to commit acts of violence in Europe. This story focuses on a Michelin restaurant in London. They were supposed to burn it to the ground, but got caught before they could do it (and were linked to a Ukrainian-owned warehouse fire earlier).

this is a trend in authoritarian nations that have sufficient national\ethnic populations in foreign countries. also well known in cybercrime.

they are basically encouraged\rewarded for doing more of what they are doing anyway, but usually face higher risk.
