Former Vice President Mike Pence said he has profound differences with Donald Trump. "Many think it’s just over January 6" but it also has to do with the fact that he is walking away from fiscal responsibility and a commitment to America’s leadership in the world. "I cannot endorse Trump."

Former White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney: "I quit because I think Trump failed at being the president when we needed him to be that."

Former Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Mark Milley said Trump had gone into a serious mental decline in the aftermath of the election, now all but manic, screaming at officials and constructing his own alternate reality about endless election conspiracies.

Former National Security Advisor H.R. McMaster said the foremost reason for the assault on the Capitol was Trump’s sustained disinformation and unfounded conspiracy theories. Trump displayed an absence of leadership, really anti-leadership.

Former Defense Secretary John Mattis: "Never did I dream that troops would be ordered under any circumstance to violate the Constitutional rights of their fellow citizens, much less to provide a bizarre photo op for the elected commander in chief, Donald Trump."

Former White House Chief of Staff John Kelly: Trump is "a person that has no idea what America stands for, and has no idea what America is all about," confirming that Trump, in fact, called the war dead "suckers" and "losers".

REMINDER: Republicans went batchit crazy when Hillary Clinton said half of Donald Trump’s supporters belong in a “basket of deplorables” characterized by “racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamaphobic” views but gleefully support a man who called America's fallen war heroes "suckers" and "losers".

Former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley: Trump said that he wouldn’t defend NATO and, instead, would encourage Putin to invade NATO countries.

Former White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham: "I am terrified of him running for president in 2024. I don’t think he is fit for the job."

Former Director of Strategic Communications Alyssa Farah Griffin: "We worked with him, we knew him, and we are telling you, America, this man is unfit to be president."

Former Defense Secretary Mark Esper: "Given the events of January 6, given how he has undermined the election results, he incited people to come to DC, stirred them up that morning and failed to call them off. To me, that threatens our democracy."

Former Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao said January 6 deeply troubled her in a way she could not set aside. "I believe in the peaceful transfer of power, I believe in democracy."

Former National Security Advisor John Bolton said that having been in the room with him, dictators think Trump is a laughing fool and they are prepared to take advantage of him.

Former Attorney General Bill Barr: "He is a consummate narcissist. And he constantly engages in reckless conduct" and "he will always put his own interests and gratifying his own ego ahead of everything else, including the country’s interest. There's no question about it."
