... your Congressional district.

https://democrats-budget.house.gov/legislation/rep...

Here's a summary of the impacts in my district, IN-09

ACA coverage
Under the Republican budget plan, the 29,000 people who receive coverage under the Affordable Care Act in Rep. Erin Houchin's district would see their average premium go up by $720 per year — a 41% increase.

Many families would face even steeper consequences. A 60-year-old couple with a household income of $85,000 in Rep. Erin Houchin's district would see their health insurance costs increase by $13,436 per year — a 186% increase in premiums.

Medicaid
In Rep. Erin Houchin's district, the 178,119 people on Medicaid are at risk of losing their health care under Republican budget plans.

This includes 76,510 children under the age of 19 and 16,000 seniors over 65 in Rep. Erin Houchin's district.

Food Costs
Extreme Republican budget plans threaten the 54,000 people in Rep. Erin Houchin's district who count on SNAP to put food on the table.ACA coverage

I've said well before Trump, that I am not in favor of cutting Medicaid and Food Stamps. Sadly, the Sheeple Liberal culture has created a permanent underclass in America - which the Liberals wanted to do- and, well, they succeeded. And depriving Americans of health care or a kid from food....not my version of "America First"

As someone who loves to (100% correctly and proven to be correct) criticize how Democrats speak and alienate people, I will say that the list Pucks posted is actually very smart. It's REAL. It speaks ENGLISH. Real people don't give a shit about hearing things like "The top 1%". "$50 billion in cuts". "$50 billion in tax breaks for the rich"----- they care about how it affects them.

IF Democrats can drop the they/them/blue-haired-i-wanna-cut-my-nuts-off movement, and TALK LIKE THAT LIST pucks posted, things. could get really interesting really fast because right now, Trump seems intent on losing political capital.

Can Dems help him with that?

Disclosure: The only thing that affects me here would be ACA subsidy cuts. I keep my income really really lov to milk you people for this money but I always considered it extra vacation funding at best.

Another scenario: Let's pretend this budget in current form passes the Senate (I doubt it) but let's pretend. I think that GIVES the country to Democrats not just in 2026 but in 2028 and this is the question I ask repeatedly:

Is Club 401K willing to compromise? If it's a 51% win you seek - -ok, you'll get that in 2028.

I wonder - would you want to adjust your pitch a bit, give a little bit, maybe get a 54-55% win, bigger majorities in Congress....and do some real things?

That's the big question here.

Yes, as usual - I'm thinking ahead.

If you decide on campaigning in AMERICA this time - you are being given the chance on a silver platter.

Governor Beshear should scare the shit out of my side, providing he isn't hamstrung by the They/Them/him/her extremists.

On my side, I don't know why we insist on hurting ourselves this way. I guess on this one, Sheeple is right. "Both sides do it". lol

Maybe a lot of those MAGA pols felt they had to vote this way so as to appease King Donny, but are hoping that the bill won't get through the Senate as is.

The tax cut for the wealthy is obscene. Let is lapse.

The free market requires us to obliterate SNAP and Medicaid funding in order to finance sweeping tax cuts for the ruling billionaire class,
while still pushing a $4 trillion federal debt increase. It's just sound economics...facepalm.

Remember when this guy was a conservative hero?...
"It is not very unreasonable that the rich should contribute to the public expense, not only in proportion to their revenue, but something more than in that proportion." ~Adam Smith
