NORAD and Cheyenne Mountain are working fine. Don't start moving stuff around. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Cheyenne Mountain is under a mountain. Can't get much more secure than that. I don't think anyone is talking about moving any of the early warning hardware. The farther north they are, and, increasingly, the farther west, the more effective they are.
Trump cited some 1600 people. That is nothing but administrative overhead. As posted before, they would hardly be noticed, among the 30-40,000 people who work at Redstone.
