The GOP has already been investigating for six months and have received all the documents and information they have requested so it is not clear what else they will get from this. = alan

It is my understanding the house committee needed to go this extra step in order to compel the production of Biden's bank records. So far, all they have access to bank records of some of the shell companies. This move makes sense if you are trying to follow the money but are not able to see one of the likely end points.
