The state legislator who introduced (and got passed) a law allowing parents to remove books from schools and libraries is 'very sad'. The law has been used to remove mostly LGBTQ books and some from black authors.
Now one parent has asked that the Bible be removed because 'it's one of the most sex ridden books around', including depictions of bestiality, incest, torture, rape, and more.
Heh. The parent is quoted: ' I thank the Utah Legislature and Utah Parents United for making this bad faith process so much easier and way more efficient,' the parent, whose name and address were redacted, wrote. 'Now we can all ban books and you don't even need to read them or be accurate about it. Heck, you don't even need to see the book!'
