All? Do the banks pay for the salaries and benefits, and pensions and ofice space for the all of the employees in the FDIC?From the FDIC site:
While the DIF is backed by the full faith and credit of the United States government, it has two sources of funds: assessments (insurance premiums) on FDIC-insured institutions and interest earned on funds invested in U.S. government obligations. Revenue from assessments and interest on investments add to the DIF balance (or fund net worth), while losses (primarily from bank failures) and operating expenses reduce the balance.https://www.fdic.gov/resources/deposit-insurance/d...The FDIC does not receive any money from taxpayers.
They sure left a lot on the table for Trump to discover.DOGE has counted some savings as many three times, counted funds never spent as savings, confused millions with billions, and refuses to give a clear and transparent understanding of what they claim as savings.
Furthermore, they’re complete lazy morons without a whit of understanding about the damage they’re doing. Cutting the IRS which will actually add trillions to our national debt. Firing nuclear scientists who are responsible for keeping nuclear weapons safe (and I happen to think the keeping nuclear weapons safe is a really good fucking idea) and then not being able to contact the scientists after they realized the idiotic mistake they made. Gutting the Social Security Administration which will impact millions of elderly Americans when they have to contact the SSA in person and realize that DOGE also greatly reduced SSA offices. Lying about giving Social Security to people over 150 years old because these morons were too lazy to look up what a COBOL code means.
The damage these idiots are causing will is doing irreparable damage to our country. Instead of working with experts who know the systems and taking the time to understand them, they just cut anything and everything they please.
Except, of course, they haven’t touched a penny of the
billions our government pays to Elon Musk. Every year.
Funny, that.
