Trump company files for ownership of White House's Trump TV

President Donald Trump‘s private company has filed a federal trademark application seeking ownership of the name “TRUMP TV,” just three days after the White House launched a 24-hour streaming channel under the same brand.

The move could affect how the White House uses the channel’s name going forward and could ultimately require a licensing arrangement between the federal government and the Trump Organization.

Think big. Require the broadcast networks to carry every "Trump TV" branded utterance, and pay royalties to Trump, or suffer FCC interference in their operations. All those press conferences. All those scrums in the Oval Office and on Air Force One, become "Trump TV" branded events, that must be carried "in the public interest", because he is the POTUS, and also, must be paid for, to Trump personally.

Does anyone really think he will willingly walk away from the money fountain he is enjoying, regardless what the Constitution says?
