N0t much time passes after a pivotal election --- Sheeple can't comment on what "Kamala" said about Josh Shapiro and others. (Hey Sheeple...you think a governor in PA would've bumped the PA vote by 2.1% in that state? baaaaa)

How she was not willing to lead and appoint Pete.

How she started 3% LEADS in polls with fundraising advantage but lost sand still wont blame anything on herself and Sheeple Pronoun stuff.

Still Baaaaa'bsent on Mamdani.

Still ZERO individual thought on "should the party go AOC? Or Clinton - as rpresented by Rahm or Beshear"

Meanwhile the leader has a history of speaking of these things well before the masters decide who it's going to be.

The moment I saw Trump, with his fist raised, and the blood streaming down his face, with the flags in the background, I figured the election was over, and he won.

Steve I sense you have a ton of life experience and some good political instincts.

Looking forward to most of your posts.

Yes, i feel you are right - that was a catalyst but all I can do is offer you a focus group of one. Me.

I've been mostly Republican. Not the "Obama was from Kenya" nut variety but yeah, I count Reagan as my favorite. I voted for W twice.

I voted Biden in 2020.

In 2024 i openly said I refuse to vote. But between Liberal snobbery AND Trans-Al-Qaeda and the Pronoun extremism i went Trump.

I'm not asking if you feel i was right or wrong. I'm just asking you to ponder....was there 1-2% of people like me out there? Or had Shapiro from PA been VP - would he have tipped that key state? As someone who openly voted Biden I am just speaking for myself - many other candidates than Harris id' have eagerly supported.

PS: I tend to screw with a few of the Sheep here. If you see something weird in a thread from me - it is in no way directed at you.

Yup. Blood and soil always win the first round, at least in countries that have not preserved the memory of utter destruction that “blood and soil” lead to.

Talk about “culture”……

Indeed, that is in our 'culture' - and way too much and too respected for our own good.

However in 2016 he wasn't bleeding.

He won.

Steve--- all I am asking is -- is it better for Democrats to do the they/them stuff? Is it better for Democrats to do the 'there's no illegal human beings' stuff? Is it better for Democrats to do the "relax you people in Ohio and Michigan. The stock market is up and you will find a green job"

OR is it better to actually visit with those people. Hear them. Listen. At times give them tough medicine but at times make a few adjustments so they dont get desperate and too angry and then they are unreachable?

All I am saying is Dems are better off running national races. Not coastal yoga mom races.

Education. HEALTH CARE (ACA especially). Medicare. Medicaid.

A true centrist Democrat ----can run away with it. It happened not too long ago - multiple times.

I'm not asking if you feel i was right or wrong.

It's sad, but our choices often come down to the "less awful". I voted Trump in 2016, not because I didn't think he was a scummy conman, but because I estimated Hillary to be just as psychotic and corrupt. The difference being that Hillary might be smooth enough to get away with it, while Trump was such a buffoon he would be caught.

Bigotry runs deep in this country. Fox Noise has been nurturing a bigot cadre for years. Without the boost from Bush's "deregulation" ideology blowing up the economy, Obama probably would not have had a chance. His winning put the racists into overdrive. I have heard questions about both George Romney (born of US parents in Mexico) and John McCain (born of US parents in Panama Canal Zone) being qualified as native born USians, but I have never seen the persistent push I saw from the birthers. They could not stand the idea of a POTUS who was not white. As offered before, I think Trump's dalliance with the birthers was market research, to see if an openly bigoted campaign could get traction.

A woman of color? Not a chance. A Jew? Doubt it. Gay man? Not a chance.

I still like Evan Bayh, but he's nearly 70. But who can stand up to the bigoted blast coming from Sean Hannity's pie hole?

My sense is Trump is not an aberration. It has been a 40 year long project, that brought us here. My hunch is nothing can be done. We need to wait for this bigoted blast to burn itself out, because facts and logic are not valued. When people overcome bigotry, we can give reason, and democracy, another try.

Steve

Part of the progressive religion is that you. don't. get. to. question. the. religion.

It's so deliciously ironic that so many atheists (just look at all of them here) have essentially duplicated a religion into the sociopolitical structure. It has tenets, it has faith, it has followers and it has heretics (that's us). It has a list of sins that one cannot commit and a set of unspoken commandments.

The point is...it's nearly impossible for it to change. They're going to have to ride this wave until it crests somehow.

Huh?

Between Hillary and Trump, Trump was the "less awful" choice? Hillary would have made a fantastic POTUS.

Between Kamala and Trump, Trump was the "less awful" choice? Kamala would have made an excellent POTUS.

While i disagree with Hillary on many things - unlike sheeple i can look past that. and be objective.

Hillary would've been a competent and effective President.

Kamala - no way. hasn't seen the ball since hte kickoff.

Had Hillary not embraced the identity politics ---and had she not arrogantly ignored certain swing voters - she'd have won in 2016.

"But america is racist! Misogynist!"

Yeah, sure it is. But they elected a dude who is black named Hussein twice......

For me, voting for Hillary was the lesser of two evils.

Whether or not she would have made a “fantastic POTUS” is simply something we will never know

****

if not burderned by the identity politics stuff -- - she'd have been good in office.

She has seen the Presidency up close which is something that most President DONT have benefit of when they walk in to the Oval.

She has seen what works and what can be shambles vis a vis administration. I believe mistakes are better teachers than success....and the stuff she did in 1993-1995 -- taught her valuable lessons

She was in good with the NeoCons and Goldman Sachs crowd.

She had ok relations with the Senate -- where she wisely didn't step on toes and actually made some relationships. She would've known how to stroke Senators (an Obama weak point)

And all of the above would've helped her put in a SCOTUS or 2 or 3..... and maybe move some health care stuff forward a bit. Sort of build upon what she did with the CHIP program, and what Obama did with ACA.

I hope the he/him, they/them, Right Hand Persons, and hyphenated americanism.....was worth it.

Seems to have worked out for Trump.

Did it work out for America? Was it worth it?

Like her saying she was entitled to be POTUS, because of her gender?

Remember the "vast, right wing conspiracy" against her?

Then there was the "vast left wing conspiracy", and the "male dominated media conspiracy", and the "male candidate conspiracy". To hear her tell it, the entire world was conspiring against her, because of her gender.

Psychotic.

Hillary constantly played the victim woman card. Trump constantly plays the victim white Christian card.

A pox on both of them.

Steve

Donald Trump raped children with Jeffrey Epstein, but at least he didn’t use a private email server to send risotto recipes to his daughter!

I didn’t say “similarly bad”.

I said she was the lesser of two evils”, meaning that I wasn’t enthused about her, but she was certainly better than Trump- a judgement on Trump’s fitness that has been subsequently validated in spades by events.
