'So goes the thinking?'

Or.. the lies perpetuated by the RNC/GOP/Qanon gulled the trees into voting for the ax.

It happened everywhere. All around the world. In virtually every democratic country, voters vented anger at whatever party was incumbent during the post-Covid inflationary period.

This wasn't an artefact of the US media environment, or anything specific to our politics. Voters around the world were dissatisfied with the economic conditions after Covid, and took it out on whoever was in charge at the time.
