Of course, they need a divided MAGA so they can insert their Wall-Street-Journal or Wars for Israel candidate - someone like Nikki Haley. They long for the Bush-Romney types where the base got poorer, or killed. Literally.
Governor Kemp - Georgia.
Methinks that name - will be heard about much more than it is today.

Right. The "we have to put Trump behind us" candidate? MAGAts hate him. Trump hates him. And Trump would completely destroy him in less than a week. In addition, I believe he's polling at zero.

Yes, MAGA hates him. But - MAGA - are still Americans - meaning - not too bright and easily hoodwinked.
The whole "he's better than the other guy" thing comes in. Also, please observe that Republicans were every bit of "free trade" as Clinton and the Wall Street Democrats were. On TMF I used to take exception that the Republicans would shout "protectionism! free market!!" - -guess what, they flipped in 10 seconds when Trump came. So - Americans, well, not hard to convince....it's all how you market it. No different than when I chat up a Home Depot employee and fire him up on why unionizing is a good thing - it's all how you approach people and tailor your pitch.
I am not saying Kemp beats Trump - no. I'm saying, between legal stuff happening. MAGA being divided. Sometimes, a surprise can happen.
As far as "hating Kemp" - you'll hate him too.
look at McCain. You people loved him when he bucked Bush. When he came a candidate the Left said nasty things about him, until the end when he rightfully spoke against racial attacks and rumors on Obama. The Left loves using people like McCain or Kemp - until they are actually on the ballot. Then - yeah, you'll fixate on him no different than your not being able to discuss politics - at all - without "Trump!".'
As far as polls.... President Hillary Clinton, President Rudy Guiliani, President Mike Bloomberg, President Rick Perry, President Herman Cain - just to name a few - might argue they don't mean squat right now - but for the sheeple who only know what they see from the media.
Oh, a guy named Barack Hussein Obama - a rookie- who nobody knew until his speech at the 2004 DNC might argue that polls this early don't matter.
Relevant? .Yes - for fundraising. But that all can change fast.

Obama was polling at 27% in 2007. Kemp doesn't even make it into most polls and sits at about zero percent. Kemp has little chance of being a factor in 2024 but let's bookmark this and see what happens.

There's a huge difference between 'loving him" and loving a thing he said or did.
McCain's daughter, for instance, is to be commended for her clear eyed response to Jan6 and her principles with respect to FatDon, but she's still a staunch conservative on issues that would preclude my voting for her.
A broken clock, as they say, is correct twice a day.... but it's still a broken clock.
