In a move with clear strategic implications, a Chinese state-owned company has begun rebuilding a World War II-era airfield on Woleai, a remote atoll roughly 400 miles south of Guam.

When we withdraw from an area, it's no surprise if they welcome someone to fill the vacuum.

We are going to be like Britain almost 100 years ago...looking around and wondering what happened to our empire. Different dynamic, but a similar outcome.
