While I don't use that term myself, given how many of his followers speak of him, it's sort of appropriate. Evangelicals especially see him as a sort of semi-savior. I think Trump was designated the new King Cyrus. They see him as allowing the temple to be rebuilt and one step closer to the rapture. When he moved the American embassy, they saw the hand of God moving. So he is an instrument. He is the chosen one to help rebuild the temple and the end of days will happen. There are different cults within churches and many are tied to end of days - it's popular, better than snake handling. In my youth in Texas I'd see bumper stickers declaring that in case of rapture the pick up would be unmanned.

You are confusing me..The last sermon I attended I was told the Fatherly love for his prodigal son was actually the love of money and taught his son how to be a good bagman.
